Important- Wearing Period Costumes
Learning to move in and manage the clothes of another time is a wonderful practical experience that will give the children an insight into history they could achieve no other way. But please take care - children today are not used to managing long skirts or wearing caps. Skirts can hamper movement and caps may reduce hearing and vision slightly, so take care in traffic if they are walking to school in costume. Also, keep away from naked flames – most of these clothes are made from the natural fibres of linen, wool, cotton and silk. Thank you and enjoy! |
